- Gujarati Samaj of St. Louis has been closely monitoring the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as guidance from our local health departments, regarding the outbreak caused by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The wellbeing and safety of our members and community, family and friends is of paramount importance. We are committed to providing our members timely updates and communications with information and resources as they become available. We want to remind you that the City of St. Louis and our surrounding counties, along with the State of Illinois, have issued variations of a 30-day “stay at home” order.
We are pleased to let you know that our GSSTL Center has been completed and we are ready to serve our members and community. We are fortunate and thankful that it was completed prior to all the restrictions being enforced. We want to reassure everyone that our Grand Opening event, which includes our Havan & Ribbon Cutting ceremony, will be rescheduled at the appropriate time, once the restrictions have been lifted by the appropriate officials.
Thank you for your continued patience and prayers for the community. Your relentless support to the Gujarati Samaj of St Louis is greatly appreciated. Over and over, you demonstrate that we truly are UNITED TOGETHER as we navigate the difficult decisions during these trying times. Gujarati Samaj of St. Louis
To safeguard against COVID-19, and the spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus, The Gujarati Samaj of St Louis has made the careful decision of postponing all of our future events til further notice. This is in accordance with Federal and Local government guidelines. We are hopeful of everyone’s understanding of this difficult decision. We will continue to monitor the situation in planning the new dates for the events.
Please be mindful and stay aware of the latest information on the COVID-19 outbreak, which is available on the WHO website and through your national and local public health authority. Most people who become infected experience mild illness and recover, but it can be more severe for others. Take care of your health and protect others by doing the following:
HANDS Wash them often
ELBOW Cough into it
FACE Don't touch it
FEET Stay more than 3ft apart
FEEL sick? Stay home

As the nation’s COVID-19 cases continue to multiply, many of those in the medical profession are encountering a shortage of protective equipment, especially masks.
Locally here, and across the nation, volunteers are working to help with the shortage. For those who want to help, please 🙏 contact any of the volunteers listed on the flyer. Let's come together as a community!!
