- Patel, Sudhir “Sid”, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 2, 2020. Beloved husband of Alka Patel, dearest father of Shreena (Daniel) Fulani, Niraj (Alyssa) Patel, and Nirali Patel; dear grandfather of Cora and Elin Patel; loving son of Hansaben and the late Chandubhai Patel; brother of Saurabh (Pragna) Patel, Mrugnaynay (Anil) Champaneri, Kirti (Virendra) Desai, and Ajay (Drasthi) Patel; Sid will be missed by his beloved grandpups, Nala and Chakri.
Sid was born August 5th,1955 in Luanshya, Zambia. He worked incredibly hard and helped his family business thrive in Zambia. Sid married Alka on September 9, 1981 and envisioned a life of opportunity for his own family. He made many sacrifices to move to St. Louis with his wife Alka and children on October 16th, 1989. He chose to make St. Louis his home, as his brothers both lived there and his sisters were close in Chicago as well. His entrepreneurial spirit served the community well, as he owned and managed several successful businesses throughout his life. He always supported small businesses and found ways to volunteer and give back, especially with children or people he connected with along the way. He was an avid tennis player and loved to play golf with his friends, but also enjoyed games of intellect such as chess, sudoku and solving puzzles. He will always be remembered for his gift of connecting with people quickly and developed many heartfelt relationships in his lifetime.
